“The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.” – Alan Watts
If the quote above is true, Studio 15 has been diving, moving and dancing all summer!
Earlier this summer Studio 15’s wonderful coordinator, Jessica Carrasco, along with her husband, Jabin, felt the call of God on their lives to go to China to teach for a year. It was an answer to a nearly two-year old prayer.
In the meantime they kept their ears and hearts open to the voice of God. We will have interim coordinators to fill the position during Jessica’s absence, but she will be sorely missed by us here. Please continue to keep Jessica, Jabin, and Studio 15 in your prayers!
Change aside, Studio 15 summer camp was a BLAST this year!
The campers and staff alike had so much fun! From trips like Wild Water Kingdom and African Lion Safari, to the camp-wide games and activities, to wonderfully thought out Bible lessons and delicious lunches and snacks this will hopefully be a summer that no child will forget.
The success of the camp was due mainly to the AMAZING group of staff and volunteers that we had this year. They were really second to none. Many thanks to every single one of them!
Our Fall term for after- school classes is right around the corner, starting up the week of September 22nd! We are excited to offer knitting, arts & crafts, photography, cooking & baking and a music class!!
Classes are offered to youth ages 10-14 and are only $35 for eight weeks’ worth of classes! Look out for the fall term posters for details soon.
Studio 15’s First Gala Fundraising Dinner will be taking place this fall!
It will be a great opportunity to help support Kingsview’s outreach ministry, while eating some delicious Caribbean food and meeting some of the youth involved in our many programming opportunities.
Plus, it’s a gala; so, you get to look fabulous doing it!
