Position: Church Administrator

Summary overview: the Church Administrator provides comprehensive logistical and management oversight for the church facilities and ministries. The church administrator supports the Pastoral Staff and various leadership teams. They possess and demonstrate giftedness in people, facility, and event management. (This position replaces the former Administrative Assistant role and is considered part of the Ministry Staff.)

  1. Church Ministry Support: provide logistical and administrative support for the various leadership teams, including the Pastoral Staff, Official Board, and Property & Finance Team. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Manage the main office operations, equipment, and supplies (including custodial supplies)
  • Attend and record minutes of various leadership team meetings, as directed by Pastoral Staff
  • Coordinate all regular means of communication such as Kingsview Connected (email blast), the weekly bulletin and announcements, Kingsview News (monthly newsletter), church signs, etc.
  • Coordinate and train office volunteers
  • Manage church website (in conjunction with web-designer/administrator) and data base updates
  • Prepare meeting materials in conjunction with the Pastoral Staff & other leadership team members

 

  1. Facility Management: coordinate the smooth logistical operation of the physical facility
  • Utilize the Facility Use Policy Manual to guide the application, booking and use of the building’s resources
  • Maintain a facility usage calendar
  • Supervise the custodial staff
  • Assist with bookkeeping & banking duties, as assigned

 

  1. Volunteer Coordination: help coordinate the efficient & effective recruitment, screening, training and scheduling of volunteer staff
  • Organize and harmonize the various ministry, meeting & event calendars
  • Systematize and maintain the Child Protection Policy

  • Office management & organizational skills, especially the ability to take the initiative and also to work in a self-directed manner
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software, (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher)

  • Experience working in an inter-cultural community setting
  • Familiarity with PowerChurch Plus software
  • Previous event planning experience
  • Able to work some evenings
