Hello Kingsview Family,
Please consider how you might be involved in one or more of the following!
READERS NEEDED: An excellent heart-felt poem was shared with me that will be read in service on Sunday February 26th (please note the change of date). You can preview the poem by opening the attached file. If you would like to be one of the readers, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
INTERVIEWEES NEEDED: Some of you have talked to Pastor J-M about possible cultural items or ideas to share with the congregation. If you had an idea for Culture Corner please get in touch with him ASAP as we’d like to begin scheduling time in our upcoming services. Remember, the pastors will make this really easy – we’ll prepare you before we get you up front.
BREADS NEEDED: Supplementary to our Culture Corner idea, we would love for our communion celebrations to use breads from different cultures. We’re starting with Jamaican Hardo bread this coming Sunday! If an individual, family or group would like to provide bread from their cultural background for an upcoming communion service, please speak to the pastors ASAP. Here are the remaining communion dates for 2017: Mar 5, Apr 2, Apr 14 (Good Friday), May 7, June 4, July 2, Aug 6, Sept 3, Oct 1, Nov 5, Dec 3.
RESPONSE NEEDED: Dr. John M. Perkins, founder of the Christian Community Development Association, evangelical scholar and civil rights activist will be speaking in Hamilton on Friday, March 3rd. Dr. Perkins is not often in Canada, this might be your one opportunity to hear him speak. Tickets are $25 available here. Speak to Pastor J-M if you have any interest in attending – we’ll try to carpool.
