Maheli Pacheco has been an active member of the Kingsview FMC since 1997. She has taught Sunday school, participated and supported numerous church events, and volunteered with Studio 15 since the very beginning.
Maheli is currently a part-time Placement Development Coordinator and Administrative Assistant to the Community Worker Program at George Brown College. After graduating from the program with honours in 2002, she was working with North York Community House Settlement Services team.
At the same time, she joined the George Brown staff as the Coordinator of Social Services Destination Cuba International placement, stepping down after seven years to join the school’s administrative staff.
Her work with the Community Worker program is complemented by her work with Kingsview Free Methodist Church community service programming. Like her mother before her, she is an accomplished needleworker and handcrafter, skills she brings to her role as a children’s community arts facilitator.
Jonathan Dotson, who prefers to be called Johnny, is the middle child of three. He was born and raised in Toronto. The most important decision that he ever made was the choice to follow the Lord.
Since making that commitment, he feels that the Lord has blessed him in so many ways, including the opportunity to pursue a theological education and the invitation to participate in the furthering of His kingdom.
In April, Johnny graduated from Tyndale University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies and Theology.
Throughout the duration of his studies, the most prominent avenue that the Lord enabled him to serve was through youth ministries.
Johnny is very familiar to Studio 15. He has worked at the summer camp for five years and has seen first-hand its potential to reach youth in the community. What impresses him the most about Studio 15 is its aim to not simply offer programs, but to do so in an environment that testifies to the gospel and manifests the love of Christ.
As the team embarks on a new year, we hope that you would partner with us in our goal to see lives in our community transformed by the gospel of Christ. God bless.
