Men, join us at Kingsview Church for the first Man-to-Man Breakfast of 2011. Allow our guest speaker, Bruce Smith to inspire you with his faith in Jesus and passion for service to God and the community
Learn from his experience as a 1972 Grey Cup winner, successful businessman and strong advocate for troubled youth.
Bruce works with Toronto’s King Bay Chaplaincy. He is a former team captain and All Star with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. He was a member of the Hamilton Tiger Cats 1972 Grey Cup championship team.
Upon retiring from football, Bruce enjoyed a highly successful career in real estate before entering the ministry.
Bruce works with “at risk” youth in the Toronto area, identifying the issue of “fatherlessness” as one that must be addressed because of the adverse effects it has on the lives of young people.
Our Father, Father to the Fatherless is the compelling story by Bruce Smith of his life as a fatherless boy growing up in Gainesville, Texas, and his rise to fame and fortune as a star professional football player and real estate broker. While Our Father, Father to the Fatherless speaks candidly about the harmful effects of fatherlessness on youth and society, it is a story about hope that illustrates how people can overcome their past and triumph through the saving power of Jesus Christ.
Bruce and his wife Shirley live in Toronto with their two children Courtney and Coby.
