Every Free Methodist Church is part of a General Conference which is made up of all the ministers and lay delegates (the elected congregational representatives) in their national or regional conference. All the General Conferences, including Canada’s, are part of the Free Methodist Church World Conference.
We meet every three years as a General Conference for the care of our ministers and congregations, as well as the development of effective kingdom expansion. In the non-General Conference years, we still meet together in East and West Ministers Conferences.
Gathering together regularly enables us to preserve unity in our faith and facilitate times of fellowship.
Kingsview will be represented at the 2014 General Conference by Pastor Darrin Lindsay, Tim Gonyou (1st delegate), and Lois Tomc (2nd delegate). Sabrina Hinds (Board Chair) will also be attending and Dennis Patten (delegate reserve) may attend.
