Echo Lake Summer Camp took place from August 21 to 28. This is the first summer in quite a few years I wasn’t able to attend, but there were a few campers and staff from Kingsview on hand.

One Kingsview member, Bishop Keith Elford, dropped in to visit, and this is what he had to say, “Last Thursday afternoon and evening, I visited Echo Lake Camp, north of Kingston, Ontario. Since 1956, this camp has had a unique ministry to teenagers and this year was no exception. It was a real blessing to have the opportunity to visit with staff members and to hear from them that they saw multiple evidences of the Lord at work during the camp. I saw this for myself in the evening service where this room packed with young people engaged with enthusiasm and intensity as they sang. It was also moving to see them respond to the challenge that Wes Wood gave in that service – to take a stone in their hand (representing failures from their past) and walk together to the edge of the lake and throw their stones as far as they could into the deepest part of the lake. I’m sure that will be an experience that many will remember for a long time.”

Fall Camp is October 7-10. For more info or to register visit www.echolakecamp.org or talk to Pastor Darrin.
