Now that Advent has started, we often really start to look forward to the Christmas season.
For many students, they start to look forward to a break from school too! But, before that happens many are in exams, projects and, of course, seasonal activities at school.
One of the exciting things that is happening in the schools and connected to our ministry at Kingsview is support for the Christmas Hampers project.
A Youth Unlimited group at Kipling Collegiate is heading the food drive at their school and will be donating all the food and gifts collected to us for the Christmas hampers!
The youth group is looking forward to the Kingsview Christmas Party on December 11th and also to serving at the Annual AFEY Children’s Community Christmas Party on December 18th at Woodbine Banquet Hall. This awesome yearly event serves about 350 local children and their families; there’s music, crafts & games, face painting, food, and, of course, every child goes home with a gift and a picture with Santa The youth group is helping assemble gift bags and will coordinate face painting and games.
The Bike Shop is now closed for the season (It’s pretty cold out there!).
Thanks to everyone that helped out this year – including our friends at The Bicycle Depot (829 Albion Rd.) – and your donations of bicycles, parts, & finances; moral support and even swinging a wrench have helped make it all possible! See you in the spring…
