One of the most important weeks in the school calendar is almost upon us — March Break!! This year, we have 2 great youth events planned.

The first is a special gathering called “Love Revolution;” it’s the first in a series of 6 events that will take place during 2010-2011. Based on 1 Timothy 4:12; young people will be challenged to set an example in love, life, faith, speech and purity! Don’t miss out on this life changing experience.

Of course, no youth group is complete without some pure fun stuff. So, on Wednesday, on March 17th we’re going to a Toronto Raptor’s game! Tickets are disappearing fast; get yours today!! Only $22 each, on a pay-as-you-can plan. Talk with Pastor Darrin for more info.

A small group recently attended the Parent’s Night at the Today’s Teens Conference and were challenged by keynote speaker, Dr. Tony Campollo. He encouraged all of us, parents, pastors, youth workers – adults – to build relationships with young people. Do you want to speak into a teen’s life? Get to know them first!

The actual Today’s Teens conference was sold out ahead of time for the first time in recent memory. So, the youth group got together for a time of fun instead at Pastor Darrin and Sharon’s place. We played lots of games, made pizzas, and just hung out. It was a great time.

Looking ahead to April, World Vision’s 30-Hour Famine is coming up and we are also planning to go to Missionfest here in Toronto. If you’re interested, check it out at: www.missionfest.org.
