Camp Sunrise 2009

Camp Sunrise, the summer outreach ministry of Kingsview Church, had about 35 young kids ages 11-14 involved Monday – Thursday.

It was 6 weeks of fun, with lots of field trips including Centennial Park Mini Golf, Ontario Place, Ontario Science Centre, Rainbow Cinema, Toronto Zoo, and Wild Water Kingdom to name a few.  Pictured below are campers at the zoo petting and feeding stingrays and sharks!

Loads of fun!

We focused on more than just field trips though. Campers learned valuable life skills, such as computer skills, Bible stories, cooking and bicycle repairs. They got lots of exercise playing sports and we even got to the City pool in the last week of camp!

Of course, we had lots of fun playing games, and hanging out together. Under the supervision of Pastor Darrin Lindsay, the program was directed by Jessica Dotson, volunteers and many staff.  Thanks to everyone that made it possible & see you next year!
